When asked by Gold Derby how the cast members made such strong connections, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, who plays my great-uncle Genek, said “The secret sauce was in the topspin.” It was his idea to bring the actors together for regular tennis games during time off while filming in Bucharest, Romania – and this became a key factor in creating friendship bonds.
